 BRAVE will grant 100 scholarships to Indian students, researchers and staff members to undertake a mobility period for credit seeking mobility (part time or "sandwich" program) or a degree seeking program (full time) in six prestigious European Universities (Higher Educational Institutes, HEI) with the financial support of the European Commission’s Erasmus Mundus programme.
The Topics of interest in BRAVE are:
     - Plant Virology
     - Plant Breeding
     - Plant Molecular Biology
     - Plant Physiology/Biochemistry
     - Structural Biology
     - Plant Bioinformatics
     - other related fields
To be eligible to apply for a scholaship under BRAVE you need:
A) To be Indian national
B) To be Indian national that has not lived, nor developed his/her main activity (study, work, etc.), over more than 12 months, in the last 5 years, in one of the 28 member states of the European Union.
C) Have sufficient knowledge of the English language (where courses are taught in English) or the language spoken in the host University/country.
Additionally UNDERGRADUATE applicants need to comply with the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in any Indian (public or private) legally recognized Higher Education Institution AND have completed at least one year of study in their home institution at the time of departure for the mobility period.
Additionally for Target Group III applicants must:
- Be in a particularly vulnerable situation for social and political reasons (i.e. people who were born, have studied or worked in Backward (BRGF) districts.
Academic and administrative staff applicants need also to comply with the following criteria:
- Base the mobility assignments on the BRAVE agreements and the sustainability strategy defined by BRAVE;
- Agree together with the home and host universities on the programme of activities (i.e. lectures or administrative work to be delivered by the visiting staff; the research activities to be carried out; etc). 

Degree certification
degree certification could be done by an independent agency or by the Dean of school.
