Rajendra Agricultural University is a state Agricultural University (RAU) affiliated under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). RAU is involved in teaching, research and extension in agricultural and allied sciences and consists of the Faculties of Agricultural, Veterinary, Fishery and Home Science. The teaching activities include undergraduate, masters and PhD degree courses in Agricultural Science. The main campus of RAU is located at Pusa (district of Samastipur, Bihar). The Faculty of Agricultural Science includes several disciplines related to crop production and improvement. Plant viruses are mostly dealt in the department of Plant Pathology (dealing with viral and other plant pathogens). Efforts are going on continuously and timely to make RAU shining and farm families smiling by alleviating unemployment and poverty. RAU dedicates great efforts for its external visibility restoring its past glory.
