| Title and Brief report of the work (max 300 words) | "Rural Agricultural Work Experience. BRAVE has provided us a deep insight in to the ongoing research activities at laboratory and field levels that justified the sole purpose of our mobility as per the curriculum of university. We were allowed to carry out entire invitro cultivation of gravevine, Sorbus domestica,and apple and learn about CRISPER gene at UNIMI. We gained wonderful exposure to the ongoing activities at Fondazione Minoprio at Cantu'-Cermenate that included Illustration of Green Roof, Study on effects of Pervious and Impervious pavements on soil characteristics, Identification of Tropical trees in Green house and Identification of Temperate fruit trees in orchard. Afterwards, in our next field visit to CREA-VIV, Pescia we had an opportunity to visit 2nd largest Flower market in Italy, namely Mercanto Dei Fiori. Here, we analysed the entire marketing chain system through questionnaires with the farmers. In the institute, we gained firsthand knowledge about experiments relating to the effects of coloured shed netting on plant growth, Integrative use of Solar Thermic Energy for Greenhouse temperature regulation and Morphological characterization of Hydrangea sp. Collection. Finally, in our last sojourn to Fondazione Fojanini, Sondrio, we had performed Training and pruning in Raspberry and weeding in Blueberry followed by identification of Temperate trees in Alps. Furthermore, observation of Drosophila suzukii in Blueberry and Panel test of Lonicera caerulea kamtschatica was done in the institute. Lastly, we went to Apple cooperative named Melavi nearby and fetched information regarding processing, storage and marketing of produce." |
