| Indranil Dasgupta, Professor, Department of Plant Molecular Biology, University of Delhi South Campus, New Delhi, India was born on 28th January, 1958 at Kolkata, India. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from University of Calcutta and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He spent five years as a Post-doctoral Fellow at John Innes Centre, Norwich, UK. He has been at the University of Delhi South Campus for the past seventeen years and has guided nine Ph.D., two M. Phil. and twenty M.Sc. students. He has completed ten projects funded by National and International funding agencies and industries, and is currently involved in three projects. He has forty six publications, several book chapters, one international patent and has commercialized a product from his research. |
